When jumping into the Meta ads platform, it’s important to keep everything organized. Especially if you intend on running ads on behalf of other businesses, or for multiple of your own websites, you want to make sure all assets are owned by the right parties and with the correct permissions.
Before you create any assets, like your Instagram account, Facebook page, or ad account, heady to business.facebook.com and create a new business manager. This will be the gateway to your ad account, and making sure all of your business assets are properly connected. Check out the video below for a walkthrough on setting up a new business manager and connecting assets:
Maybe you’re creating an advertising agency and need to create ads on behalf of client businesses, or vice versa. This is where having a well organized FB business manager will come in handy. Each Business account has a unique business ID, which can be found by navigating to the “Business Info” section of the business manager. (insert screenshot)
This ID can be used to gain or give access to certain assets for other Business Managers. Navigate to “Business Settings”, and select “Partners” from the menu on the left. From there, click “Add”, then choose whether you wish to share access to your assets, or request permission from another business to access theirs. Simply paste either your or the other business’s ID number to add them as a partner. Once added as a partner, the business sharing the assets can decide exactly what assets the other business has access to, and what permissions are associated with their role.
