As people mindlessly scroll their feeds, modern attention spans are at an all time low. This means you have less time than ever to hook your audience and compel them to stick around. The first 1-3 seconds of your ad are the only chance you get to grab a customer’s attention, so your hook better be solid, and tailored specifically to your target demographic. One of the best ways to get an idea of the type of ads your target demo is responding to is to spy on your competitors. The Meta Ads Library is an incredible tool that allows you to see what ads any company is running on Meta platforms. You can directly search your top competitors and see what ad creatives they’re currently running, and how long they’ve been running (the longer a given ad has been running, the higher chance it is working well for that company).
TIP: Don’t directly steal ad content from other companies, as this will likely get struck down by Meta and result in derogatory marks on your account. You can however, re-create this content yourself with slight differences.
