If you’re planning to sell just about anything online, Shopify is the way to go. They are by far the industry leader when it comes to ecommerce, and for good reason. Their platform is extremely intuitive, and can be used for just about any kind of online store (except courses, which is why I built this website on Squarespace…).
Let’s take a dive into Shopify and walk through setting up a store for the first time. If you want to go more in-depth into designing your actual website, I recommend checking out YouTube, as there’s thousands of tutorials that can help with with any specific features you’re looking for. If you’re using Shopify for your online store, they already have a great integrated email feature that will send users order confirmations & updates, tracking info, account updates, or abandoned cart emails. This is generally sufficient for these purposes, although you want to make sure you customize what these emails look like and say.
